科学研究や医療現場で
活躍している人々がいます。

本サイトでは、東京大学先端科学技術研究センターインクルーシブアカデミアプロジェクトと、東京大学医学系研究科医学のダイバーシティ教育研究センターとが中心となり、障害のある科学者や医療者が自身の経験を語っているインタビュー動画を掲載しています。

このサイトの目的は、第一に、障害のある研究者や医療者が、様々な工夫をしたり支援を受けたりしながら活躍している事実を、多くの人々に、とくに、科学研究や医療の道に進みたいと考えている障害のある方々に届けることです。そして第二に、障害のある同僚と働くことが科学や医療全体に特別な価値をもたらすことや、障害のある同僚がどのような障壁に直面するのか、そしてそれをどのようにしたら除去しうるのかを、多くの科学者や医療者に知ってもらうことです。
ここに掲載された貴重な語りが、多くの障害のある人々に希望を与え、障害のある人々に科学や医療の担い手になるという選択肢を切り開くことを願っています。

This website, managed by　members of　the Inclusive Academia Project at RCAST, University of Tokyo, along with the Center for Diversity in Medical Education and Research, University of Tokyo, and other collaborating institutes, features interviews with disabled scientists and medical professionals sharing their lived experiences.

Launched with the aim of disseminating information among a broader audience, especially disabled individuals interested in careers in science and/or medicine, the website highlights the active participation of disabled researchers and healthcare providers in these fields. It sheds light on their endeavors to overcome challenges through innovative approaches and seeks to promote awareness of the support and accommodations available to them. The website also intends to assist numerous individuals, especially those involved in science and medicine, in recognizing the unique values of collaborating within diverse and inclusive teams that include disabled colleagues　and figuring out ways in which they can contribute to removing obstacles their disabled colleagues may encounter.

We hope that the compelling narratives shared here will encourage and empower disabled individuals and contribute toward paving a wider path for more people to join the world of science and medicine.
